EnFlux produced multiple concept designs for the replacement of the penstocks based on information developed in previous inspections, condition assessments, remaining life of various portions of the system, and client budget constraints. Design concepts included various options to reuse (continue to use) portions of the existing penstock that has sufficient life and could be repaired or replaced in the future. This provided the client with options that could reduce upfront costs by performing work in stages or options that would replace all of the worn penstock with a new robust system that would last for 100 years.
